How Ramen Will Try to Get his Groove Back

Things aren’t quite calm at work yet but they are getting to a point where they should be calming down a bit. Also I’ve got internet access now there again.

So I plan to start getting back to regular updates. I’ve got a few games and toys that need reviewing of course. I’ve got some ideas floating around for articles. It’s time to get back into the blogging groove again folks.

Unfortunately the Transformers front has been pretty slow with new content. Well, new content I care to buy. I won’t say my interest in collecting them has died or anything that extreme but I’m certainly a very sporadic buyer these days. The movie toys just aren’t that aesthetically appealing. I’ve got my own little continuity going on and while I need a Ratchet to fit into it, movie Ratchet’s design is too off from Classics and Cybertron/etc to work. This applies to more than just Ratchet but he’s a nice example.

So far I’m effectively only figuring in Jazz and Repaint Jazz as Silverstreak and Jazz respectively.

I’m sure they are nice toys but they just don’t work for how I’m collecting these days (”Neo G1″) and a lot of them would just end up being toys I regret buying next year.

Anyway, enough about design aesthetics of the movie for now.

-if you swap heads and hands, Rescue Ratchet doesn’t look so bad.

I’d try it myself, but I can’t find a good enough head to consider as Ratchet.

Look nice. I’m wondering if Cybertron Soundwave can swap heads with Movie Ironhide. The Ironhide repaint makes me thing Soundwave.
